Sainsbury’s Charity of the Year is Citizens Advice Flintshire

Citizens Advice Flintshire celebrates its success in winning the public vote for the Sainsbury’s Flint store’s Charity of the Year.

Mandy Plant, Marketing, Communications and Fundraising Manager said “A huge thank you to everyone who voted for Citizens Advice Flintshire to be Charity of the Year. We are absolutely delighted as we have received a huge amount of local support and we have been completely overwhelmed by the responses and amount of good luck messages. We are really looking forward to working in partnership with our local Sainsbury’s Flint store and having lots of fun raising money to support the people of Flintshire in getting free advice. We hope with the support from our local Sainsbury’s store we can raise funds that will enable us to continue to provide our essential services and raise enough to help even more people”.

Jamie, a volunteer for Citizens Advice Flintshire said “We do the most fantastic work in our local community and without our service many people would have nowhere else to turn to. It’s really good to see the public getting behind us and showing their support by picking us as their Charity of the Year”.

Over the past year Citizens Advice Flintshire has helped over 6,875 people. They offer support on employment, benefits, debt, discrimination, and many other important issues which are currently affecting residents of Flintshire.
