Gain transferable skills and work experience

Volunteering with Citizens Advice Flintshire gives you the opportunity to learn and develop skills that will be useful in any workplace such as teamwork, communication and resilience.

Enhance your CV

Standing out from the crowd can be difficult, constantly looking for new ways to separate you from the rest. Your volunteering experience can be the difference to a better future. Take some time to consider what sort of role will address any skills gaps on your CV. For example, as a Gateway Assessor, you will gain experience in dealing with the public, learning to multi task and problem solving. As an administrator, you will gain good organisational skills and improve your IT skills.

Build your confidence

Volunteering is a great way to expand your horizons. You will be meeting new people and trying your hand at things that you may otherwise not experience. Doing something useful and productive with your spare time is a great confidence booster.

Meet new people

You will be joining a friendly team where you will get to meet people from all walks of life. Volunteering is a great way to meet people and be part of your local community.

Access to qualifications

As Citizens Advice Flintshire volunteer you can work towards the national Citizens Advice Certificates for Advisers or Gateway Assessors.
