Extra Mile Project

Supporting those facing mental health challenges with practical advice and guidance.

The Extra Mile Project was developed to offer accessible, high-quality advice and support to individuals with mental health issues. Our goal is to provide timely and practical solutions to alleviate the added pressures of life’s challenges – whether it be welfare benefits advice, financial concerns, housing, or accessing other essential services. By working closely with local health services and offering flexible, personalised support, we aim to empower people to manage their mental well-being.

Our Services:

  • Mental Health Caseworkers for one-on-one support.
  • Digital support through email, text, and phone calls.
  • Outreach advice in psychiatric wards and community mental health centres.
  • Collaboration with local health services to provide integrated care.

How We Work:
The Extra Mile Project focuses on offering flexible support through various access points. Whether it’s face-to-face, via digital channels, or through community outreach, we ensure that individuals receive the right advice at the right time. Our caseworkers are trained to handle complex issues and provide continuous support, ensuring each person is supported from start to finish.

Partnerships and Collaboration

We work with several mental health organisations, including KIM, NEWMind, and the Flintshire County Council Mental Health Team, to ensure clients remain engaged and connected to the help they need. Our work extends into local health services where patients can be referred to us for practical advice, improving overall well-being. For referrals to our extra Mile team click the link below.
