How we use your data for fundraising and donations

This section covers how we use your data to carry out our fundraising activities.

How we collect your information

100 Club Raffle – If you complete a direct debit form on our website to join our 100 Club Raffle, we will securely process your details. An email notification is automatically sent to our fundraising team. Your form remains on our secure website server until our team transfers the information to our third-party payment system called GoCardless and our CiviCRM database. Once processed, the form is deleted from our server. 

We retain active information on GoCardless and our CiviCRM database indefinitely. 

You can unsubscribe from our 100 Club Raffle at any time at which point your data will be deleted from GoCardless.  After two years, any inactive donors are anonymised on our CiviCRM database to ensure we can review trends and improve our service while protecting your privacy.

Challenge yourself enquiry – You can find out about taking part in a fundraising event by completing a contact form on the Challenge Yourself page of our website (https://flintshirecab.org.uk/events). Your information remains on our secure website server until a member of our team transfers the information to our CiviCRM database. Once processed, the form is deleted from our server. After two years, this data is anonymised to ensure we can review trends and improve our service while protecting your privacy.

Online / Electronic donations – If you donate via the donate button on our website, this enables you to donate electronically via the PayPal Giving Fund. 

We keep all records of donations within our secure CiviCRM database. After two years, any inactive donors are anonymised to ensure we can review trends and improve our service while protecting your privacy.

What information we collect

100 Club Raffle – We collect information to enable you to donate monthly and to participate in the monthly 100 Club Raffle. Information collected is: Number of entries; Date of payment each month; Your full name (as it appears on your bank account); Your full Address; Your email address; Bank/Building Society account number; Branch sort code; Name and full postal address of your Bank/Building Society; Payment reference.

Challenge yourself enquiry – We ask for your name, address and contact details.

Online / Electronic donations – When you donate through the PayPal Giving Fund, your personal information including name, email address, and donation amount is collected by PayPal. If you give your permission, your personal information may be shared with us by PayPal. You can see the Paypal Giving Fund Privacy Policy here. 

What we use your information for

100 Club Raffle – We use your information to enable you to participate in our 100 Club Raffle and to be able to receive your winnings into your bank account if you win. 

Challenge yourself enquiry – We use your information to be able to share details of upcoming fundraising events that you may want to participate in.

Online / Electronic donations – We keep records of donations for two years after which they are anonymised to ensure we can review trends and improve our service while protecting your privacy.

Who we share your information with

100 Club Raffle – We share the information you have provided with GoCardless, an online payment processing platform. We share your information with GoCardless so that they can manage your direct debit payments for entry into the 100 Club. You can see their Privacy Policies here. 

Challenge yourself enquiry – With your permission, we may share your information with organisers of events that we are participating in.  

Online / Electronic donations – We don’t share your information with anyone else.

Online / Electronic donations – We use consent to process your information. You do not need to share your information to donate via this method, you can choose to donate anonymously. Any personal information given is handled in accordance with the PayPal Giving Fund Privacy Policy.
